HISTORY OF QI GONG

The healing principles of Qi Gong are being studied for more than 2000 years in China. As the centuries passed, these principles were enriched by the practice of martial arts, massage, phytotherapy, accupuncture, moxibustion and the study of the meridians. The evolution of Qi Gong is also related to philosophical and spiritual practices (buddism, hinduism, tibetanism, taoïsm), which deal with the conne ction between man and his environment.

THE BENEFITS OF QI GONG

The regular practice of Qi Gong exercices helps avoiding deseases, possibly to heal them, and to extend life by improving its quality.

Without having to use medicine and without particular equipment, Qi Gong allows to reduce artery hypertension and the heart beating rythm. It relieves rheumatism, stress, stomach ulcer and diminishes the demand of the body for oxygen and the rythm of metabolism. On the other hand, it increases the ability of the endocrinian system and the ability of the body to absorb oxygen.

The exercices improve the back, muscular strength, suppleness and they have a balancing effect on the internal organs of the body (heart, lungs, liver, spleen, kidney), which results in a general balance and an increase of vital energy.

Through Qi Gong, the blood and the Qi (the vital energy) flow freely through the meridians and the body. The Yin and the Yang come to harmony. This helps preventing infections, and helps the body to recover.
